One of the biggest park in Budapest, located north of Heroes’ Square, excellent for short and long (but rather long) walkings. The park has some interesting objects, such as gardens, green esplanades, pools (you can rent a boat), monuments, fountains and sports fields. On the artificial island in the little lake stands the small Vajdahunyad Castle (not very old, just from the beginning of 20th century, but very pretty). It is kind of copy of architecture styles, most typical for Hungary. There is a monument of Anonym, the author of king Bela’s chronicle and the first history of Hungary. It is probably the most likable monument is Budapest. It is said that everyone who touch the goose feather in Anonym’s hands will have a creative inspiration.
Directions: Behind the Heroes Square.
