High on Gellert Hill. Visible to all the City

The hill is crowned with the Liberty Statue is a recognition to the period after Word War 2 . All the paths lead to the Statue which is flanked by two warriors from the same period. The three figures stand out well against a clear blue sky. At the time of this visit there were several schools visiting the location. The wall to the east gives some fine views over the river to Pest. the Duna river is busy with the passenger boats but many barges are pushed along the river heading to the Black Sea maybe or to the interior of the Continent.
