Memorial of the old National Theatre

The old National Theatre on Blaha Lujza square was demolished in 1965. It was said to be blown up due to the construction works of the underground line No. 2, but this is a hardly defendable argument… This “statue” in the park of the new National Theatre is a memorial for the old building. The Theatre is in the 9th district, Bajor Gizi park 1.
